Job summary

Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Area (Akron/Cleveland area) seeks a Manager of Lift Experience for the 2026/27 winter season. You will lead Lift Experience teams across three resorts, delivering safe, efficient operations while creating a guest- and employee-centric experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of leadership in lift or mountain operations, strong people skills, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet safety standards and resort objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in lift operations, mountain operations, or related field.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Lift Experience leadership teams across all three resorts.
  • Oversee daily and seasonal Lift Experience operations.
  • Maintain compliance with company, OSHA, ANSI, and industry standards.
  • Lead seasonal staffing, training, and operational readiness efforts.
  • Partner with Patrol, Ski & Ride School, Snowmaking, Grooming, Lift Maintenance, Terrain Park, Building Maintenance, Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Resort Leadership.

The Manager of Lift Experience provides leadership and operational oversight for Lift Experience teams across Boston Mills, Brandywine.This role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient operations while creating an exceptional guest and employee experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage multiple priorities, develop teams, drive accountability, and collaborate across departments to achieve resort objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and support Lift Experience leadership teams across all three resorts.
  • Develop employees through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and guest service excellence.
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the department.
Operations Management
  • Oversee daily and seasonal Lift Experience operations.
  • Maintain compliance with company, OSHA, ANSI, and industry standards.
  • Lead seasonal staffing, training, and operational readiness efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Patrol, Ski & Ride School, Snowmaking, Grooming, Lift Maintenance, Terrain Park, Building Maintenance, Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Resort Leadership.
  • Support resort-wide initiatives focused on safety, guest experience, and operational excellence.
  • Assist with special events, peak-period operations, and emergency response coordination.
  • Manage labor and operating expenses within budget expectations.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and labor planning.
  • Utilize performance metrics and KPIs to improve effectiveness.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in lift operations, mountain operations, or related field.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The expected pay range is$58,859.00 - $78,000.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
