Vitalant is hiring experienced Transfusion Managers to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity testing Core laboratory located at 875 Greentree.

What To Expect

Schedule: Days 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, no weekends (rotation on call)

This position will oversee the following locations for Vitalant's Transfusion Services laboratory:

• UPMC East, St. Margaret's, McKeesport, Washington-Greene, and Wheeling

As a Manager You Will

• Act as liaison with hospital business partners assigned.
• Manage Vitalant Transfusion labs assigned.
• Enhance our collaborative teamwork and supportive culture within our laboratories and hospital partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or medical laboratory science required.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency or CLIA equivalent for moderate or high complexity testing required.
• Certification as a technologist in blood banking (BB) or specialist in blood banking (SBB).

Preferred

• Five years laboratory experience required, including:
• Two Years Supervisory Experience Required.
• Previous blood bank or blood center experience preferred.
