Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks an experienced laboratory manager to oversee rapid response labs across Arizona. You will provide oversight and direction to optimize workflow, support staff, and start up new labs as the business grows.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a lab science, at least four years in high-complexity testing, and two years of supervisory experience; MLS or related certification is preferred. Some statewide travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four years of training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, directs and manages laboratory operational activities to meet company objectives.
• Performs functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Oversees start-up of new labs and coordinates statewide travel to various lab locations.

We are in need of a knowledgeable, employee focused laboratory manager to oversee our rapid response labs located in various locations throughout Arizona. This position will provide oversight and direction for these labs to optimize workflow and efficiency, support our laboratory employees, and start up new labs as our business continues to grow. It will involve some statewide travel to the various lab locations and will partner will a variety of business units and leadership for success.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position develops, directs and manages operational activities within the laboratory to effectively meet Company objectives.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years' training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Two (2) years' supervisory experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• MLS or Specialty Certification.
• Additional related education and/or experience.
