Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER in Wichita, KS seeks an experienced Nursing Manager IV Therapy Telemetry. The role provides leadership for patient care, fiscal and HR oversight, and 24-hour accountability within Wesley Medical Center’s mission.

Required is an RN license (KS or multi-state), BLS/CPR, ACLS within 365 days, and NIH Stroke Survey certification within 90 days. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; two years of leadership experience ideal.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Kansas or multi-state RN license is required.
• BLS verification through AHA/ARC healthcare provider CPR is required.
• ACLS certification within 365 days of start date is required.
• Stroke certification (NIH Stroke Survey) within 90 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating patient care.
• Oversee fiscal, HR, risk management and operational functions.
• Contribute to strategic planning and program development with 24-hour accountability.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Nursing Manager provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients in individual units. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management and operational functions. The Manager contributes to strategic planning and program development and maintains 24 hour accountability. The Manager performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Manager displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center.

Required Registration, Licensure or Certification

• Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR


• NIH Stroke Survey Certification course within 90 days


• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 365 days

Preferred Registration, Licensure Or Certification

• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam


• Required Education or Experience


• Completed or Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Nursing


• Graduate of school of professional nursing


• Two years’ experience

• Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including, but not limited to, administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others
