Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER, part of the Wesley Healthcare network and affiliated with HCA Healthcare, seeks a Nursing Manager to lead clinical units and ensure high-quality patient care. The role encompasses planning, coordination, and 24-hour accountability within the hospital’s care philosophy.

The manager will contribute to strategic plans, manage resources, and uphold safety, quality, and patient experience standards in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure in Kansas as an RN or multi-state RN license.
• Current BLS verification through AHA/ARC Healthcare Provider CPR.
• NIH Stroke Certification within 90 days.
• ACLS within 365 days.

• Oversee fiscal, human resource, risk management and operational functions.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursing Manager provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients in individual units. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management and operational functions. The Manager contributes to strategic planning and program development and maintains 24 hour accountability. The Manager performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Manager displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center.

Required Registration, Licensure or Certification

• Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR

• NIH Stroke Survey Certification course within 90 days

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 365 days

Preferred Registration, Licensure or Certification

• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam

• Required Education or Experience

• Completed or Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Graduate of school of professional nursing

• Two years’ experience

• None

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including, but not limited to, administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

• Possess personal computer skills

• Ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize

• Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Acute care experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
