Job summary

Campbell Oil Company in the United States seeks an IT Manager to oversee daily technology operations across retail locations, bulk plants, and the corporate office in the Elizabethtown area.

You will lead IT technicians, manage software lifecycles, drive security controls, and partner with leadership to deliver a strategic technology vision that supports our family-oriented culture and growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (minimum).
  • 2- or 4-year technical certification/degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Previous experience managing and building IT teams.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, iOS, Android, M365, and Adobe applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP concepts and capabilities.
  • Experience with remote desktop, screen sharing, and RMM tools.
  • Understanding of IT security principles and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with leadership to define and execute a strategic technology vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & develop a team of IT technicians and specialists – hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and development.
  • Own departmental KPIs: uptime, vendor utilization, budget performance.
  • Direct help desk operations to meet IT needs across the organization.
  • Manage software lifecycle: deployments, upgrades, pilots, re-imaging, ERP systems.
  • Drive large-scale rollouts: POS, new equipment, locations, NTI builds.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to install and troubleshoot hardware/software at sites.
  • Ensure security policies and internal controls.
  • Develop documentation and training for staff.
  • Explore emerging technologies and pilot programs.
  • Manage inventory of hardware, software licenses and assets.
  • Provide hands-on support via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of technology and software support across the organization. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role will lead a team of IT technicians and specialists responsible for providing reliable technology and software support across retail locations, bulk plant operations, the corporate office, and satellite offices. The IT Manager will also collaborate with other IT leaders to support and maintain critical infrastructure and ensure the organization’s technology environment remains secure, reliable, and efficient. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to help maintain safe, efficient, and productive working conditions for employees and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Lead & develop a team of IT technicians and specialists - hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Own departmental KPIs: on-time close rates, equipment uptime, vendor utilization, and budget performance.
  • Direct help desk operations to ensure IT needs across the organization are met efficiently.
  • Manage software lifecycle: deployment plans, upgrades, pilot testing, re-imaging, and vendor coordination for all 3rd-party, internal, and ERP systems.
  • Drive large-scale rollouts: POS upgrades, new equipment, new location / NTI buildouts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to distribute, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software at site level.
  • Ensure security: implement and enforce internal controls and security policies.
  • Develop documentation and training content for technical and non-technical staff.
  • Explore emerging technologies that could benefit the organization and lead pilot programs.
  • Manage departmental inventory of hardware, software licenses, and related assets.
  • Provide hands-on support via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits as needed.
Qualifications / Education & Qualifications
  • High school diploma (minimum); college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2- or 4-year technical certification/degree in a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience in a responsible, independent technical support role.
  • Previous experience managing and building teams.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, iOS, Android, Microsoft Office / M365 suite, and Adobe applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP system concepts and capabilities.
  • Experience with remote desktop, screen sharing, and RMM tools.
  • Understanding of IT security principles and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with leadership to define and execute a strategic technology vision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience configuring system settings, email, calendar, and networking across mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Skill in creating documentation and delivering training to non-technical audiences.
