Senior Recruiter, Finance, Accounting & Legal at HD Supply

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Manager of Inventory Operations to lead a high-performing team of 7–8 direct reports. This is a leadership-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, has a passion for mentoring talent, and brings operational excellence to the table.

The role is centered on day-to-day operational execution with exposure to special projects and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong people-first mindset, an eye for data, and a bias for action when faced with ambiguity or escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of inventory operations analysts and senior analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
  • Drive daily operational oversight of inventory performance across key product groups (PG) and Spartan chemical categories.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for analyst-level issues, resolving complex problems and elevating when needed to senior leadership.
  • Review and assess weekly performance metrics, adjusting operational plans in real time to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Merchants and cross-functional leaders in routine meetings to align on inventory status, challenges, and strategies.
  • Manage one-off escalations, exceptions, and ad hoc business needs with urgency, sound judgment, and flexibility.
  • Support project-based work aimed at enhancing operational processes, with a willingness to step outside routine when necessary.
  • Use Excel and reporting tools to review IPR (Inventory Planning and Replenishment) performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and proactive problem-solving, promoting innovative thinking and challenging the status quo.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory operations, supply chain, or related areas, including at least 2 years in a people leadership role.
  • Experience managing in a corporate environment (as opposed to a distribution center or warehouse setting).
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.
  • Adept at managing escalations and ambiguity—able to think quickly and adapt on the fly.
  • Comfortable with data; strong Excel skills are essential. Advanced analytics not required, but must be comfortable reviewing and interpreting metrics.
  • Proven ability to balance routine responsibilities with unexpected challenges and short-turnaround requests.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
