Job summary

CURiO Brands is seeking a Manager, Inventory Control to own inventory accuracy across company warehouses, 3PLs, and CM sites. You will design cycle counts, reconcile ERP with external systems, and partner with Finance to ensure precise month-end closes.

You will lead a small team, drive data-driven improvements, and maintain controls across a network of facilities to support replenishment and reporting.

Job description

This role is for candidates who reside within 60 miles of our office in Southeast Minneapolis (hybrid).

About the Role

As the Manager, Inventory Control, you owns the accuracy, integrity, and financial reconciliation of inventory across a distributed network: a company-operated warehouse, multiple third-party logistics (3PL) locations, and contract manufacturer (CM) sites holding raw materials, WIP and finished goods. In this role, you are the central point of truth for inventory accuracy at every storage and ship location, as well as inventory at company-operated facilities. You have deep experience in designing and running the cycle count and reconciliation program, with a strong understanding of resolving discrepancies across ERP and partner systems, partnering with inventory planning, finance, and 3PL/CM teams to keep on-hand records reliable enough to drive replenishment and financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

Inventory Accuracy & Control

• Own inventory record accuracy (IRA) across all nodes: internal warehouse, 3PL locations, and CM-held raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Design and manage cycle count programs (ABC-based) at the internal warehouse and coordinate equivalent count/reconciliation cadences with each 3PL per contract terms.
• Investigate root causes of discrepancies between ERP, 3rd party inventory systems, and shipping documentation, implement corrective actions, and drive down shrinkage, unexplained variance, and adjustment volume.
• Establish and enforce inventory transaction discipline (receipts, putaway, picks, transfers, adjustments) so system records reflect physical reality.
• Reconcile inventory between the ERP and each 3PL's warehouse management system (WMS) on a defined cadence, resolving mismatches in units, lots, and status (available, held, damaged).
• Maintain visibility into consigned or company-owned raw materials held at contract manufacturers and reconcile against consumption and production reporting.
• Ensure visibility and accuracy of RM, WIP and finished goods produced at CMs, ensuring in-transit and staged inventory is accounted for and not double-counted or lost between nodes.
• Partner with Finance on month-end/quarter-end inventory close, including valuation, reserves, and reconciliation of inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Support annual physical inventory or wall-to-wall counts at applicable locations, including planning, execution, and post-count reconciliation.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Serve as the inventory-side owner/power user of the ERP system, maintaining item master data integrity relevant to inventory (units of measure, lot control, locations, status codes).
• Standardize inventory processes and documentation (SOPs) across internal and partner locations to ensure consistency as the network scales.
• Identify and implement improvements in inventory visibility, reporting, and controls, including data integrations (EDI/API) and exception reporting between ERP and 3PL/CM systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Provide accurate on-hand and availability data to Planning/Replenishment to support inventory positioning and stock-out prevention.
• Support as inventory contact for 3PL and CM partners, holding them accountable to accuracy and reconciliation standards defined in agreements/SLAs.
• Lead and develop a small team or individual contributors responsible for inventory analysis and cycle counting.

What You Bring

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in in inventory control, inventory analysis, or supply chain operations, including 1–2+ years in a lead or management capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing inventory across multiple physical locations, including third-party warehouses.
• ERP proficiency and demonstrated ownership of inventory transactions and reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel/data analysis skills and comfort reconciling large data sets across disparate systems.
• Proven track record improving inventory accuracy and reducing variance/shrink.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or related field.
• Experience in an asset-light / contract manufacturing model where inventory is held at CM and 3PL sites rather than internally.
• Consumer goods / CPG experience, ideally including DTC and/or retail/wholesale fulfillment.
• Familiarity with 3PL WMS platforms and ERP–WMS integrations.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP).
• Experience with lot control, and multi-channel distribution (retail, wholesale, e-commerce/marketplace).
• Experience with home fragrance, beauty, or lifestyle categories.
