Job description

**This role is for candidates who reside within 60 miles of our office in Southeast Minneapolis (hybrid).

About the Role

As the Coordinator, Transportation, you are the front-line executor of daily transportation activities to ensure materials and finished goods move through the supply chain accurately, on time, and at the lowest possible cost. You have deep experience in managing shipment scheduling, carrier coordination, exception handling, and data accuracy across inbound and outbound freight and a proven track record of partnering closely with suppliers, 3PLs, carriers, and internal teams to keep product flowing without disruption.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule, track, and manage shipments across LTL, TL, parcel, and small‑package modes.
  • Maintain accurate shipment data in TMS/WMS/ERP, including tracking updates, documentation, and exception notes.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with carriers, suppliers, and 3PL warehouses.
  • Communicate daily with external partners (suppliers, co‑packers, carriers, 3PLs) to confirm readiness, pickup windows, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with routing guides, labeling requirements, and customer/supplier expectations.
  • Resolve transportation exceptions quickly — missed pickups, delays, accessorial issues, documentation errors.
  • Validate freight invoices and flag discrepancies for correction.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely and complete shipment and receipt information.
  • Provide daily/weekly reporting on carrier performance, shipment status, and service risks.
  • Partner with the Transportation Load Planner to optimize loads, consolidate freight, and improve cost-to-serve.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, and Warehouse Operations to maintain service levels and prevent supply chain interruptions.

Assignment of Inbound vs. Outbound

  • Inbound Transportation — coordinating raw materials, packaging, and components from suppliers and co‑manufacturers into the network.
  • Outbound Transportation — coordinating finished goods shipments to customers, retailers, distributors, and e‑commerce partners.
  • Both roles share core responsibilities but differ in the partners they engage with and the freight they manage.
  • You model the CURiO Cornerstones through your daily actions, decisions, and interactions.
  • You take ownership of your work, commitments, and contribution to team and company goals.
  • You work highly cross-functionally, collaborating respectfully and effectively across teams and functions to achieve shared goals.
  • You contribute to a positive, inclusive, and cooperative workplace where colleagues can do their best work.
  • You take ownership of your professional growth by seeking opportunities to learn, build skills, and stay current in your field.
  • You adapt to changing priorities and support company initiatives with a constructive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • You maintain the confidentiality and security of CURiO’s proprietary, confidential, and business-sensitive information.
  • You actively support a safe workplace by following safety requirements, promptly reporting concerns, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • You understand that business needs may occasionally require extended work hours, particularly during seasonal or critical business periods, and you may periodically be asked to perform responsibilities outside the scope of this job description.
