Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Manager, Instructional Design to lead the strategy, design, development and continual improvement of enterprise learning solutions that improve restaurant performance and leadership readiness.

You will collaborate with Operations, Marketing, R&D, and Technology to transform complex initiatives into engaging learning experiences across instructor-led training, eLearning, video and simulations.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of instructional design experience in restaurant/retail/hospitality/franchise operations.
• Experience designing enterprise learning programs across multiple delivery formats.
• Experience managing external learning vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience in the QSR, restaurant or food service industry setting.

Job Description

The Manager, Instructional Design leads the strategy, design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise learning solutions that support operational excellence. This role is responsible for creating innovative learning experiences that improve restaurant performance, accelerate operational readiness, and support leadership development.

Working closely with Operations, Marketing, R&D, Technology, and external learning partners, this position transforms complex operational initiatives into engaging, performance-based learning solutions delivered through multiple modalities including instructor-led training, eLearning, video, simulations, performance support tools, and digital learning experiences.

The Manager serves as the instructional design subject matter expert while partnering with the Platform Manager to ensure successful implementation, launch, and ongoing governance of learning solutions.

Strong knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning principles, and competency-based training.
