Unum Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with a global presence, seeks a Manager, Unum Labs to advance enterprise innovation by turning ideas into measurable business outcomes.

You will design, launch, and execute pilots and POCs, collaborating with teams across the organization and external partners to drive pilot execution, track performance, and translate learnings into actionable recommendations for investment and scaling decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 7+ years in innovation, product, strategy, venture incubation, or related domains, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working cross-functionally with business, technology, and operational teams.
• Strong analytical and insight-synthesis capabilities.
• Solid understanding of experimentation, pilot execution, and innovation delivery models.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to execute effectively in ambiguous environments.
• Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfort working hands-on with data, metrics, and dashboards.
• Travel requirements vary; estimated travel 5-10%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to onboard partners and advance pilot work.
• Analyze pilot performance data and synthesize insights to inform pilot roadmap direction.
• Develop recommendations for scale, pivot, or sunset decisions; contribute to scaling plans.
• Support the innovation portfolio by prioritizing initiatives based on alignment and impact.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to assigned pilots and POCs with the Director.
• Support pilot planning and execution, tracking engagement metrics and readiness.
• Partner with technology teams to integrate emerging technologies into pilot solutions.
• Help run workshops, ideation sessions, and co-creation activities.
• Deliver validated concepts and learnings to internal business or market scopes.
