Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a hands-on Manager, Information Systems Engineering to lead the Network and Cloud Infrastructure team. You’ll guide day-to-day operations, mentor engineers, and drive IT automation initiatives across our global environments in Austin.

You’ll oversee cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP), on-prem hardware, security, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Security and DevOps. Strong leadership and cloud networking expertise are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a leadership role managing network and/or cloud engineering teams.
• Hands-on leader with a track record delivering IT initiatives and operational goals.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud networking.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, focusing on stability, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding professional growth and coaching.
• Oversee deployment and upkeep of cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on‑prem networks.
• Implement IT automation workflows using Terraform, Ansible, or Python.

Job description

We’re looking for a Manager, Information Systems Engineering to lead our Network and Cloud Infrastructure team and drive our IT automation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of our global connectivity and cloud environments. What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional growth through regular feedback and coaching.
• Manage the deployment and upkeep of our cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-premises network hardware, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
• Implement IT automation workflows using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Python to streamline provisioning and configuration management.
• Maintain network security standards, including firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN configurations, while leading our ongoing Zscaler ZIA/ZPA rollout as part of our broader zero trust/SASE strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Security and DevOps to align infrastructure support with broader business objectives.
• Oversee incident response for network and cloud-related issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent future disruptions.
• Manage project timelines and resource allocation, ensuring that infrastructure upgrades and migrations — including the Zscaler deployment — are completed on schedule.
• Monitor system performance and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency within our cloud spend.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years in a leadership role, with experience managing network and/or cloud engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT initiatives and deliver against operational goals.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (switching, routing, BGP/OSPF) and cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers).
• Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on stability, security, and scalability.
• Hands‑on experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA (or comparable SSE/zero trust platforms such as Netskope or Palo Alto Prisma Access) strongly preferred, including policy design, rollout, and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to execute technical roadmaps, project plans, and infrastructure initiatives end to end.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, New Relic) to maintain system health and visibility.
• Clear and effective communicator, able to provide status updates to leadership and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range

137,040.00 - 188,430.00 USD Annual

This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
