Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Marlborough, MA, seeks an Industrial Engineering Manager to design and lead initiatives that drive sales, labor productivity, and throughput across stores and digital channels.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, apply Lean Six Sigma and Agile methods, mentor engineers, and manage a portfolio of complex projects in a hybrid in-office and remote setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Retail Management, or related field.
• Experience leading process-improvement initiatives in retail or omnichannel environments.
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable business strategies and ROI.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to store locations and distribution centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase sales, basket size, and member retention across in-club and digital channels.
• Analyze store operations—staffing models, checkout efficiency, inventory flow, merchandising execution—to uncover productivity opportunities.
• Enhance digital platform functionality by streamlining order fulfillment and site/app navigation.
• Lead time-and-motion studies, labor standards development, and workflow reengineering to improve throughput.
• Translate operational data and member insights into actionable strategies aligned with goals.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Present findings with ROI analyses to senior leadership and guide implementation.
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, IT, supply chain, and store operations to align solutions with priorities.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers and analysts, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
• Manage multiple projects across departments with budget adherence and measurable impact.

Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
