Hertz Local Edition in Gaithersburg, MD is hiring a Manager Trainee to learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, and administration.

This role offers structured training and a clear path to promotion as a Branch Manager in 12–18 months, with benefits including PTO, medical plans, 401(k), and tuition/education support; wage is $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• A self-motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsabilités

• Learn rental car business through hands-on training in sales, service, operations, and admin.
• Support branch sales goals by building relationships and identifying customer needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience through the rental process and issue resolution.
• Assist daily operations: fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, team communication, coaching, and metrics.
• Develop leadership skills toward future opportunities at Hertz.
