Northern Nurseries is seeking motivated candidates to join our Manager in Training Program across our high-volume landscape supply and horticultural distribution locations.

As a Manager in Training, you’ll gain hands-on experience in daily operations, staff leadership, and customer service across multiple sites, working with experienced managers to develop the skills needed to oversee workflow and drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of horticulture or nursery operations experience preferred.
• Strong interest in plant knowledge and nursery operations.
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursery and yard teams, promoting safety and teamwork.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Support daily site operations including inventory, product flow, and merchandising.
• Monitor and report on inventory accuracy through cycle counts and records.
• Contribute to sales initiatives through product presentation and quotations.
• Communicate with leadership about operations and staffing.
