Job summary

Northern Nurseries is seeking motivated candidates for its Manager in Training Program across our high-volume landscape supply and horticultural distribution locations in New Hampshire. You’ll gain hands-on experience in daily operations, staff leadership, and customer service, while working with experienced managers to develop essential management skills.

As a Manager in Training you will learn to oversee workflow, support sales growth, maintain safety standards, and ensure quality product

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of horticulture or nursery operations experience preferred.
• Interest in developing plant knowledge and landscape supply operations.
• Team player with initiative and ability to work with others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop nursery and yard teams, prioritizing safety and teamwork.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to deliver service.
• Support daily site operations, inventory, product flow and merchandising.
• Engage customers with knowledgeable service and support sales initiatives.
