Responsibilities

• Leads a cross-functional team to define and execute the site's materials strategy.
• Manages inventory performance: availability, value, accuracy, excess/obsolete, turns, days on hand.
• Establishes inventory strategies, safety stock, and planning parameters for all components.
• Owns materials in the SIOP process: supply planning, capacity planning, forecasting, scenario analysis.
• Assists Operations and Plant Manager in assessing supply chain risks and countermeasures.
• Aligns customer demand, production schedules, and supplier capabilities for on-time delivery.
• Leads forecasting and order fulfillment to meet customer requirements while optimizing working capital.
• Develops and maintains supplier relationships and leads escalation for delivery/quality/capacity issues.
• Leads sourcing and supplier development with Corporate Sourcing and Category Management.
• Improves ERP effectiveness through master data integrity and planning parameter control.
• Establishes and improves processes to enhance customer commit dates, available-to-promise accuracy, and supply chain visibility.
• Leads physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and accuracy initiatives.
• Implements and improves all processes related to procurement, planning, scheduling, inventory management, receiving, warehousing, shipping, forecasting, and demand management.
• Drives structured problem solving using Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) for root-cause corrective action.
• Establishes, deploys, and monitors standard work, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Partners with Finance to improve working capital, inventory productivity, and cash flow.

Position Overview:

The Industrial Powertrain Solutions segment of Regal Rexnord is seeking a Materials Manager II at our Erie, PA location. This role is the primary point of coordination and interface within the supply chain and operations organizations at the Erie plant. This senior leadership role is responsible for providing comprehensive supply chain strategy, process leadership, and tactical execution to optimize inventory, material flow, supplier performance, and customer delivery. The role leads all aspects of materials management including planning, purchasing, inventory control, scheduling, logistics, supplier management, and forecasting.

The Materials Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Care, and Corporate Supply Chain teams to drive performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash flow while building scalable processes and developing a high-performing materials organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, and Logistics professionals to define and execute the site's materials strategy.
• Responsible for all aspects of inventory performance, including availability, inventory value, inventory accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory, turns, and days on hand.
• Establishes and manages inventory strategies, replenishment methodologies, safety stock levels, and planning parameters for all purchased and manufactured components.
• Owns the materials portion of the SIOP process including supply planning, capacity planning, materials availability, inventory forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Supports the Operations and Plant Manager in assessing supply chain risks and implementing countermeasures to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Drives alignment between customer demand, production schedules, and supplier capabilities to ensure on-time delivery and efficient inventory utilization.
• Leads forecasting and order fulfillment activities to ensure customer requirements are met while optimizing working capital.
• Develops and maintains strong supplier relationships while leading escalation efforts and corrective action plans for supplier delivery, quality, and capacity issues.
• Leads sourcing and supplier development activities in partnership with Corporate Sourcing and Category Management teams.
