Job summary

Manager II

Job Duties
  • Design, develop, configure, test, customize, and integrate software applications.
  • Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications.
  • Gather and analyze client business requirements, and design and develop computer systems.
  • Develop systems requirements and implement systems strategy.
  • Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes.
  • Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches.
  • Install necessary software and customize software to clients’ unique requirements.
  • Responsible for software‑specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment, and release management, or technical and functional application management of client‑specific package‑based solutions.
  • Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements.
  • Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Translate business cases into detailed technical designs.
  • Design interfaces to external systems.
  • Responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.
  • Modify design as needed to maintain optimal application performance.
  • Monitor application performance and identify issues that impact performance.
  • Design and develop specifications for tracking applications for end users.
  • Resolve issues to ensure delivery of the project.
  • Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Math, Technology (any), or related, and 2 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) or related.
  • Alternatively, we will accept a Bachelor’s or equivalent in any field other than the above-listed fields and 3 years of experience in the above occupations.
  • Additionally, all candidates must possess 1 year of experience in any 4 tools/technologies across the following categories with at least 2 from one category: Programming Languages and Web Technologies; Development Frameworks and Tools; Databases; Data Management; Cloud Services & DevOps; Networking; Enterprise Software and Business Applications; Testing & QA Tools; Security & Compliance Tools; Integration Services; Project Management Methodologies & Tools; Embedded Systems & Hardware Programming; Hardware Interfaces & Components; Circuit, RF, and Thermal Design; Robotics & Automation; Virtual Validation & Prototyping; CAD & Mechanical Design; EDA / Signal Integrity / Simulation; Configuration & System Utilities; Business & Integration Platforms; UI/UX; Mobile Development. (All experience/skills may be acquired concurrently).

Position is based out of our HQ in Chicago, IL & subject to relocation to unanticipated US worksites, with financial assistance. Telecommuting 2-3 days per week permitted, dependent on business needs. Domestic travel for meetings as needed (approximately 5%).

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may vary but will not be less than the posted range minimum and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range. The base salary range for the tagged location is $108,077/year – $192,460/year.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
