Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, test, customize, and integrate software applications under the direction of a Senior Manager.
  • Coordinate efforts of lower‑level team members while serving as technical lead and mentor.
  • Responsible for software‑specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client‑specific package‑based solutions.
  • Gather and analyze client business requirements and design and develop computer systems.
  • Define systems strategy and develop systems requirements.
  • Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements.
  • Design, prototype, test, and define support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Determine feasibility of software application design within time and cost constraints.
  • Translate a business case into a detailed technical design.
  • Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications.
  • Identify and manage all key scope activities, engage with customer, and take inputs to resolve escalations.
  • Forecast work and plan team support to meet the requirements for deployments.
  • Review and provide timely feedback on team tasks to improve the team’s quality and productivity.
  • Design interfaces to external systems.
  • Coordinate the installation of necessary software and customize software to clients’ unique requirements.
  • Responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.
  • Modify design as needed to maintain optimal application performance.
  • Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented.
  • Monitor application performance and identify issues that impact performance.
  • Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes.
  • Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches.
  • Design and develop specifications for tracking applications for end users.
  • Develop monthly reports and present them to client and stakeholders.
  • Assess priority and severity of issues and resolve issues to ensure delivery of project.
Requirements
  • Master’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Math, Technology (any), Business, or related, and 2 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) or related.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s or equivalent in the above‑stated fields plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the above‑stated occupations.
  • All candidates must have 1 year of experience in any 4 tools/technologies across the following categories with at least 2 from one category: Programming Languages and Web Technologies; Development Frameworks and Tools; Databases; Data Management; Cloud Services & DevOps; Networking; Enterprise Software and Business Applications; Testing & QA Tools; Security & Compliance Tools; Integration Services; Project Management Methodologies & Tools; Embedded Systems & Hardware Programming; Hardware Interfaces & Components; Circuit, RF, and Thermal Design; Robotics & Automation; Virtual Validation & Prototyping; CAD & Mechanical Design; EDA / Signal Integrity / Simulation; Configuration & System Utilities; Business & Integration Platforms; UI/UX; Mobile Development. (All experience/skills may be acquired concurrently).
Location & Work Arrangement

Position is based out of our HQ in Chicago, IL & subject to relocation to unanticipated U.S. worksites, with financial assistance. Telecommuting 2-3 days per week permitted, dependent on business needs. Domestic travel for meetings as needed (approximately 5%).

Salary

Capgemini provides a base compensation range of $153,317/year – $192,460/year for the tagged location. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may vary but will not be less than the posted range minimum and will be determined based on multiple legally permissible factors including geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, performance, and market considerations.
