Job summary

HARIBO of America, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing for our on-site facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

As the senior HR leader, you will partner with Plant Leadership to deliver strategic HR support, talent development, and workforce planning for high-volume production. You'll lead the on-site HR team, drive engagement, ensure compliance, and collaborate with operations to enable sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing/production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

The Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by building strong leaders, developing talent, fostering an engaging culture, and partnering with operations to deliver outstanding business results.

Located on-site at our manufacturing plant in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, you'll serve as the senior HR leader for our gummi candy manufacturing facility in Wisconsin, providing strategic direction while remaining hands-on in supporting our associates and leaders every day.

The Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing will partner closely with on-site Manufacturing Operations and the broader Human Resources team to strengthen organizational capability, drive engagement, support business transformation, and ensure our people practices reflect both compliance and our HARIBO values. Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Business Partnership -
    • Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the Plant (factory) Leadership Team while providing strategic HR guidance
    • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategies that prepare the site for future growth
  • Leadership Development & Talent -
    • Coach leaders at every level to build high-performing, accountable teams
  • Associate Relations & Culture -
    • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace where every associate feels valued
  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning -
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, hire, and onboard exceptional hourly and salaried talent.
    • Support initiatives that improve engagement, attendance, and workforce stability.
  • HR Operations & Compliance-
    • Monitor HR metrics including turnover, engagement, staffing, absenteeism, and other workforce trends to drive informed business decisions.
  • Lead the factory HR Team -
    • Inspire, coach, and develop the site Human Resources team to deliver exceptional service and business partnership.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, distribution, plant operations or other high-volume production environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field or equivelent work experience accepted
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, workforce planning tools, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Ability to lead, direct, and hold others accountable to HARIBO's high standards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SHRMCP, SHRMSCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience implementing HR processes in union and nonunion environments
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement, safety culture, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience developing and facilitating training programs for plant / factory leaders and frontline employees
  • Experience supporting manufacturing plants or highvolume production environments within the consumer packaged goods industry
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand operational drivers and support plant leadership.

  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand operational drivers and support plant leadership
