Job summary

Georgia Transmission Corporation is seeking a senior financial leader to manage its borrowing relationship with USDA Rural Utilities Service and other federal financing programs. You will ensure compliance, lead grant/loan pursuits, and guide a small team of analysts and compliance staff.

The role requires extensive debt issuance experience, strong financial modeling, and expert knowledge of federal financing covenants within a regulated utility context. Based in Tucker, GA.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years with Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (five years with MBA).
• Demonstrated experience executing debt issuances and managing lender, and/or government relationships.
• Utility, cooperative, or other capital-intensive, regulated-industry experience strongly preferred; direct experience with RUS/FFB or comparable federal financing programs is a significant plus.
• Equivalent Experience: At least fifteen (15) years experience in an area of responsibility in Finance or related field.

Directs the corporation's compliance with RUS and other federal financing requirements and leads the pursuit of, and compliance with, grants and loans from other federal agencies, such as the Department of Energy and Federal Emergency Management Agency. Manages a team of two: the Senior Financial Analyst, Government Loans and the External Funding Compliance Manager.

Education: BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA preferred.

Experience: Ten (10) years with Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (five years with MBA). Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.

Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including the ability to present to executives, lenders, investors, and rating agencies; proficient PC skills with treasury workstation experience a plus; strong financial analytical and modeling skills; working knowledge of credit rating methodologies and RUS/federal financing and covenant requirements; and a high level of expertise in dealing with financial markets, investments and debt instruments.
