Georgia Transmission Corporation seeks a Treasurer to lead day-to-day corporate treasury activities and execute the non-federal financing strategy. You will direct debt issuances across lenders and facilities and act as the primary liaison to lenders, investors, and rating agencies to sustain a strong credit rating.
The role also oversees cash flow, liquidity, investments, and debt management while guiding a team of 3 to 4 associates. A CFA/CPA/CTP is preferred; MBA is a plus.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the corporate treasury function, including the development and execution of the corporation's non-federal financing strategy. Directs debt issuance across cooperative lenders, commercial bank facilities, and private placements with institutional investors, and serves as a primary point of contact for lenders, investors, and the three major credit rating agencies in support of a strong investment-grade credit rating. Also oversees corporate cash flow, liquidity, investments, and debt management functions. Manages a team of 3 to 4 associates.
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA preferred.
Ten (10) years with Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (five years with MBA). Demonstrated experience executing debt issuances and managing lender, investor, and/or rating agency relationships. Utility, cooperative, or other capital-intensive, regulated-industry experience strongly preferred.
At least fifteen (15) years experience in an area of responsibility in Finance or related field.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including the ability to present to executives, lenders, investors, and rating agencies; proficient PC skills with treasury workstation experience a plus; strong financial analytical and modeling skills; working knowledge of credit rating methodologies and RUS/federal financing and covenant requirements; and a high level of expertise in dealing with financial markets, investments and debt instruments.
