Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC. seeks a Manager, Global Production to execute our global production strategy from our Buffalo HQ. You will lead a team, coordinate with global factories, and ensure cost-effective, timely delivery within the time and action calendar.

Responsibilities

The role of the Manager, Global Productionis to execute the global production strategy for New Era. The Global Production Manager will work closely with the Global production Specialists and is responsible for effectively managing pre-season and in-season activities to the delivery of cost effective/quality products within the time and action calendar windows. The Manager of Global Production reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Global Production.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sr. Manager of Global Production; set, align, and communicate global production goals to Global Production Team
• Work closely with global factories, supervise Global Production Specialists, and hold weekly meetings with the Sr. Manager of Global Production to review capacity and shipment reports
• Oversee coordination of order roll-ups, order placement and PO confirmation with global suppliers on all programs, stock, hot market and custom orders
• Proactively provide production/shipment updates to cross functional internal teams around key product launches and event dates
• Review delivery extension requests and manage exceptions that impact established time and action calendars and work with freight forwarders on strategic shipment options as needed
• Identify potential manufacturing issues during weekly production meetingswith vendors
• Lead Global Production Specialists to review weekly WIP reports and identify potential challenges
• Work closely with the Global Sourcing Team; make sure production tech packs and Sourcing alerts have been clearly reviewed with the sourcing team before purchase order issuance.
• Ensure that all KPI targets for New Era Global Production team are achieved by regular monitoring of the progress reports
• Collaborate with Planning/ Sourcing/Quality / Logistics / Distribution to ensure 98% on time delivery and quality shipments
• Work closely with Planning and Sourcing on product and raw material forecasts to ensure production timelines are attained on a consistent basis
• Ensure production goals are met in alignment with production plan, manage at least 98% ocean shipments for all offices
• Collaborate with IT to continuously improve processes related to order management and tracking
• Develop processes that improve service levels to customers
• Support responsible purchasing practices and collaborate with the Social Compliance team to protect the New Era brand and promote compliance with New Era’s Workplace Code of Conduct in the supply chain. Elevate potential issues that can impact responsible purchasing practices to the appropriate supervisory level
• Keep all sensitive matters confidential
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Manage the global production function and experience in a global supply chain. Experience in the Asian market is a plus
• Establish credible relationships with suppliers, customers, and employees with proven results in obtaining on time delivery and quality shipments
• Understand the manufacturing and planning processes
• Understand the important role that this position plays in bringing improvements to the bottom line through excellent order executions and service
• Understand the technology direction of industry and industry capacity

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree within Supply Chain Management or a related field required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience within sourcing, production, & manufacturing

The salary range for this posted position is $70,000 - $90,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
