WHAT YOU WILL DO
Help power the financial engine behind Genesis, supporting the Senior Manager in delivering executive-ready financial planning, forecasting, business performance reporting, and strategic budget analysis that informs decisions at the highest levels. This is a high-visibility role where your insights help shape monthly leadership reviews, support business planning activities, and drive disciplined performance across the organization.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage development of annual business plans, budget plans, and annual forecasts while maintaining expense targets for the Business Unit (BU).
- Coordinate preparation and submission of the Genesis Division's annual budget and business planning initiatives.
- Manage monthly forecasts by working with internal and external stakeholders to prepare reports for review and timely submission.
- Prepare BU financial and business performance reports, including analysis of actuals versus budget, forecasts, year-over-year results, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead monthly forecasting and year-end accrual preparation, coordinating with the BU, vendors, and agency finance/billing teams to ensure accuracy and resolve issues.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure month-end and year-end financial results are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and business performance analysis as part of the month-end close process.
- Manage the creation, entry, tracking, and processing of Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Change Notices, Check Requests, payments, and reimbursements.
- Interface with vendors to resolve billing and payment issues while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Oversee billing activities and identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner between Genesis, Hyundai departments, and Finance/Accounting by advising business leaders on budget planning, resource allocation, spending decisions, and financial performance management.
- Support procurement activities, strategic projects, business case development, and resolution of budget and spending concerns.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate spending priorities, investment opportunities, and resource allocation decisions throughout the fiscal year.
- Support preparation of executive presentations, leadership reviews, and ad hoc analyses by providing budget insights, business performance reporting, and financial recommendations.
- Meet constrained deadlines and ensure timely completion of monthly reports, business reviews, and ad hoc projects.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with business leaders, vendors, agencies, and internal teams to support organizational objectives.
- Use independent judgment and discretion in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accountability for decisions involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
- Provide financial analysis, critical thinking, and data-driven recommendations to improve business performance, operational effectiveness, and financial processes.
- Provide training, supervision, direction, and evaluation to BU partners and less experienced staff.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Six or more years of work experience which at least five years of directly related experience in financial management/planning required.
- Three or more years of experience developing and maintaining multi-million dollar budgets required.
- Knowledge of ERP Tools (such as SAP) required.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports or contractors, preferred.
- Experience with Tableau specifically building dashboards, preferred.
- Agency and/or vendor experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
