Job summary

Met Council is seeking a Manager of Food Program's Special Initiatives to advance strategic initiatives, support growth, and strengthen partnerships across New York and national networks. You will lead select projects, collaborate with leadership, and help scale digital tools and innovative service models to better serve vulnerable communities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and proven experience in project management, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Years of related professional experience will be considered with education.
• Experience in project management and program implementation is required or preferred.
• Experience with public presentations and external engagement preferred.
• Experience building collaborative relationships with community, provider, or government stakeholders preferred.
• Technology savvy with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of CRMs/ERPs and digital tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support short-, medium-, and long-term strategic planning and evaluation efforts.
• Partner with Food Program's leadership and interdepartmental teams.
• Scale and implement new programs and initiatives to distribute more emergency food.
• Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop and implement innovative service delivery models and digital tools.
• Identify, facilitate, and maintain partnership opportunities with community organizations and funders.
• Represent Met Council in meetings, presentations, and forums; lead select projects independently.
