Job summary

Republic Airways is seeking an experienced Manager, Flight Training to lead the training logistics team and oversee scheduling, tracking, and documentation of pilot training programs. You will ensure compliance with FARs, AQP standards, and company policies while delivering accurate training workflows.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling and Training teams, and the ability to optimize schedules, audits, and training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of aviation industry experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and oral skills; leadership and team building.
• Experience with Crew Scheduling software.
• Previous supervisor experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation; manage team workflow and remove roadblocks.
• Input and update schedules in the crew scheduling software.
• Audit Crew Trac crew member and pairing exceptions for FAR and contract compliance.
• Ensure training cycle times meet company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Create master schedules based on input from schedules, union agreements, policies, and FAA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to crew members and respond to training scheduling questions.
• Lead hiring, coaching, and performance reviews of staff; supervise training staff development.
• Coordinate with Inflight Training and regulators on equipment suitability for training.
• Manage Training Department projects and initiatives as assigned.

Job Category:Crew Planning & Scheduling PLPOSITION PURPOSEThe Manager, Flight Training is responsible for leading and overseeing all administrative functions that support the planning, scheduling, execution, tracking, and documentation of pilot training programs. This position ensures training operations are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) standards, where applicable. The manager provides leadership to the training logistics team, drives process improvements, and partners with other Training teams, Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling, and other stakeholders to ensure pilots are enrolled, trained, evaluated, and qualified in accordance with operational requirements. Through effective planning, resource management, and continuous oversight, this position enables the successful delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality pilot training.ESSENTIAL DUTIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ensures team responds to scheduling questions as it relates to training schedules.Oversee audits of Crew Trac Crew member and pairing exceptions to ensure compliance with all FAR and contract regulations to ensure training pairings are correctly built and assigned when there is training associated with the pairing.Ensures compliance within the training logistics group with applicable FAA regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements and Company Policy.Drives improvements in the daily operation through cross-functional problem solving and collaboration with other departments, Crew Planning, Crew Scheduling, Training Coordination, and Training Qualification teams.As needed, assists in reviewing Pilot Training Records and helps with recommendations.Complies with the company’s AQP policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of current revision of each AQP Volume.Fosters the Company’s Vision, Mission, Culture Statement and Guiding Principles throughout the work environment.Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.
