Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of aviation training programs.

The role ensures compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards while driving operational efficiency and superior customer service. The successful candidate will oversee training development, coordinate sessions, assess program effectiveness, and maintain training records and manuals across the organization, including OSHA/DOT

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Minimum 3 years aviation/distribution experience and 3 years training experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Confers with management to identify training needs and regulatory changes.
  • Designs teaching outlines and selects instructional methods (lectures, workshops).
  • Develops training aids such as manuals, multimedia materials, and reference works.
  • Leads training sessions including orientation, on-the-job, health and safety training.
  • Monitors training progress and evaluates effectiveness; provides progress reports.

SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Training Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of training programs for all aviation staff. This role ensures that training is in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry standards, while promoting safety, operational efficiency, and excellent customer service. The manager will also evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situation(s) requiring training for employees to better understand changes in police, procedures, regulation and technologies
  • Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meeting and workshops
  • Recommends Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works using company supplied material(s)
  • Directs training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, recurrent training
  • Oversees progress of training measures and evaluate effectiveness of training
  • Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods
  • Monitors performance of trained personnel
  • Involvement in audits by outside sources
  • Ensures employee training files and airline manuals are maintained current
  • Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Advises on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions
  • Oversees safety surveys and inspections, ensures written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated are documented and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
  • Assist in post-accident investigations and reports, identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel
  • Assist with training, in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Minimum 3 years of aviation/distribution experience
  • Minimum 3 years training experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA preferred
  • Intermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
