Job Type: Full-time

Purpose: The Manager, Flight Crew Support Planning will support Avelo’s Flight Crew Support and Network Planning Teams by collaborating on flight schedules, developing crew pairings, managing training and checking events, and working closely with Flight Operations, In-Flight Operations, and Network Planning to develop crew staffing forecasts. The role acts as a strategic liaison between Operational Control and Network Planning.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all crew schedules meet regulatory and internal requirements, guided by our Safety Always value.
  2. Review pairing efficiency, identify root causes of pairing breakage, and propose solutions.
  3. Evaluate future schedules and determine staffing levels for a rolling twelve-month period.
  4. Review and incorporate training and absence plans into staffing.
  5. Develop crew pairings and bid lines to efficiently staff schedules monthly.
  6. Ensure timely publication of crew bid lines and manage relevant systems.
  7. Assist in developing crew OE, training, and checking events.
  8. Evaluate crew scheduling outcomes and seek improvements while maintaining compliance.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. At least 3 years of airline planning/crew support/scheduling experience, with 1 year in a leadership role.
  3. Knowledge of Part 117/Part 121 regulations, airline economics, and analysis.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Excellent presentation skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and Adobe Acrobat.
  7. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

  3. Experience with crew planning software (AIMS, CAE, LIDO, Navblue, etc.).
