Overview
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager with agile software development experience to lead Vista Global Flight Operations worldwide. The goal is to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of our systems and processes that drive our air mobility services. The successful candidate will join our Vista Tech Team, reporting to the Senior Director of Product - Flight Operations.
Vista Global is shaping the future of private air travel, aiming to revolutionize the experience. We challenge the status quo of long lines, security hassles, and crowded airports, and we are reimagining aviation to be more accessible, efficient, and customer-centric.
Responsibilities
- Create one-pagers to outline hypotheses, define metrics, and align stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand problems, capture solutions, and design requirements and tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
- Prioritize features and projects using a data-driven approach to ensure timely delivery of the right products.
- Manage end-to-end product and program delivery.
- Facilitate relevant meetings, including stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Conduct demos of new features to business stakeholders.
- Assess impact, effort, and risk associated with projects.
- Report post-launch metrics to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain product roadmaps in collaboration with the Lead Product Manager and Engineering managers, outlining short, mid, and long-term goals.
- Identify and escalate blockers, including resourcing issues, to the line manager and CPO.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Advocate for business and technology interests, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Lead medium to high-complexity technology programs, demonstrating industry best practices.
- Utilize Vista Global’s Product and Program Management Framework to ensure transparency, compliance, and value realization.
- Manage risks associated with change, including technical and business impacts.
- Engage with VPs, directors, business leads, product, and engineering teams, reporting progress regularly.
This is a remote position, excluding candidates based in NY, NJ, IL, MA, CT, and RI.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experienced Product Manager, preferably with knowledge of the aviation industry, though not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, adapt quickly, and embrace change.
- Detail-oriented, customer-centric, and a solution-oriented self-starter experienced in independent project management.
- Outgoing, enthusiastic servant leader with empathy, able to prioritize customer needs and unblock issues tactically and strategically.
- Skilled at influencing at all organizational levels and across functions, motivating others into action.
- Extensive experience with agile methodologies and SDLC.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Project, Confluence, Smartsheet, Jira, and Asana.
