Squarespace is seeking a Manager, Financial Systems in New York to lead a small, hands‑on team and own the entire Finance systems stack, including NetSuite, Coupa, and NSPB. You will partner with Finance leadership and IT to drive durable technology solutions and maintain strong controls.

The role is hybrid, based in NYC with 3 days onsite, reporting to the Director, Financial Systems. You will influence the system landscape across Controllership, AP, Tax, and FP&A.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial systems with cross-functional impact.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team or function.
• Hands-on admin of financial systems, configurations, and integrations.
• Proven ability to align Finance, Engineering and IT on system decisions.
• Experience driving SOX controls and data integrity audits.

Job description

Squarespace is looking for a Manager, Financial Systems to lead cross-functional delivery, partner with Finance leadership, and independently drive solutions across multiple critical Finance processes. Our Financial Systems team runs and evolves Finance so the function operates with less manual effort, stronger controls, and better data, enabling Finance to scale with the company. We are a small, hands-on, high-trust team where everyone owns platforms end to end and is the go-to for their systems across Finance. You will work closely with Accounting, AP, Tax, Procurement, Internal Controls, FP&A, Engineering, and IT. This is an opportunity to own the entire Finance systems stack — NetSuite, Coupa, NSPB, and more — with decisions that land across Controllership, AP, Tax, and FP&A rather than inside a single process.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Director, Financial Systems.

You'll Get To...

• Lead and develop a team of 3–4 direct reports, setting priorities, managing workloads, and providing regular feedback that drives growth and performance
• Own the systems roadmap across our financial applications ecosystem, scoping initiatives and sequencing investments against Finance goals and the broader company plan
• Drive implementations, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance across platforms — including SOX compliance, data integrity audits, and quality controls
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, AP, Procurement, Controls, Data Analytics, and IT to translate financial process needs into durable technology solutions
• Manage priorities, trade-offs, and risks across a multi-project environment while maintaining a transparent intake and prioritization process

Who We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in financial systems, including 3+ years leading a team or function, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Hands-on experience administering financial systems — managing configurations, integrations, and platform health across a multi-tool environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage service delivery across competing priorities, keeping partners informed and execution on track without heavy process overhead
• Experience leading people through ambiguity: setting direction, delegating clearly, and building a team that brings solutions rather than problems
• Proven ability to drive alignment across Finance, Engineering, and IT partners on system decisions with meaningful downstream impact

Cash Compensation Range: $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
