Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a strategic finance professional to serve as an internal resource for the CFO and executive leadership. You will lead cross-functional analyses, build enterprise models, and craft board-ready narratives that inform growth, capital allocation, or new initiatives.

Responsibilities include scoping inbound requests from the executive team, developing financial models, integrating external market data, and delivering executive-ready materials with clear recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, or corporate FP&A with a track record of executive-level deliverables.
  • Strong financial modeling skills including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and investment case development, with the ability to build from a blank page.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and executive communication skills
  • Experience integrating external market data and research with internal financial data
  • Proven ability to work independently on ambiguous, high-priority requests
  • High analytical rigor and the confidence to form and defend a point of view
  • MBA from a leading program preferred
  • Insurance brokerage, financial services, or similarly complex multi-entity experience preferred
  • Familiarity with public company reporting, non-GAAP metrics, or investor-facing communication preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inbound analytical requests from the executive team and Board, including scoping, prioritizing, and delivering under tight timelines with limited direction.
  • Financial models and scenario analyses spanning organic growth sensitivities, capital allocation trade-offs, investment cases, and cost structure scenarios.
  • Integration of internal financial data with external market intelligence to provide competitive benchmarking, industry context, and market sizing.
  • Partnership with revenue, commission, and expense functions to pull inputs into enterprise-level scenario frameworks.
  • The enterprise long-range model, including a full annual refresh and ongoing use for scenario planning.
  • Executive-ready presentations that lead with insight, support with data, and drive toward a clear recommendation.
  • CFO-ready briefing materials that anticipate questions, surface risks and sensitivities, and present a reasoned point of view.
  • Fluency with the firm’s financial architecture including management reporting views, public company metrics, and non-GAAP frameworks.
  • Structured, hypothesis-driven problem framing on ambiguous questions, delivering an answer rather than a data dump.
  • Identification and resolution of analytical gaps, data quality issues, and unstated assumptions before final delivery

Job description

A global fintech platform. The culture is built on entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, accountability, and collaboration.

The Opportunity

This is not traditional FP&A. The seat functions as an internal strategy resource for the CFO and executive team, closer to corporate development or strategic finance than to recurring reporting. When leadership has a question about growth, capital allocation, an investment, cost structure, or a new initiative, this person receives it, determines what the analysis should look like, builds the model, and turns it into a Board-ready story.

What You'll Own
  • Inbound analytical requests from the executive team and Board, including scoping, prioritizing, and delivering under tight timelines with limited direction
  • Financial models and scenario analyses spanning organic growth sensitivities, capital allocation trade-offs, investment cases, and cost structure scenarios
  • Integration of internal financial data with external market intelligence to provide competitive benchmarking, industry context, and market sizing
  • Partnership with revenue, commission, and expense functions to pull inputs into enterprise-level scenario frameworks
  • The enterprise long-range model, including a full annual refresh and ongoing use for scenario planning
  • Executive-ready presentations that lead with insight, support with data, and drive toward a clear recommendation
  • CFO-ready briefing materials that anticipate questions, surface risks and sensitivities, and present a reasoned point of view
  • Fluency with the firm’s financial architecture including management reporting views, public company metrics, and non-GAAP frameworks
  • Structured, hypothesis-driven problem framing on ambiguous questions, delivering an answer rather than a data dump
  • Identification and resolution of analytical gaps, data quality issues, and unstated assumptions before final delivery
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, or corporate FP&A with a track record of executive-level deliverables
  • Strong financial modeling skills including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and investment case development, with the ability to build from a blank page
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and executive communication skills
