Job summary

Deep Fission, Inc. is seeking a senior financial reporting professional for a fully remote role in the United States. You will own external reporting and ICFR programs, coordinating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), XBRL tagging, equity activity administration (Shareworks or similar), and documenting accounting positions on complex transactions to support well-reasoned conclusions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive financial reporting experience.
• Experience with SEC filings and external reporting.

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K) and support other filings like proxy statements and registration statements.
• Coordinate and review XBRL and iXBRL tagging and other aspects of the external filing process.
• Research and document accounting positions on complex transactions, preparing technical accounting memoranda.
• Administer equity activity through Shareworks or similar platforms, including grants, RSU vesting, option exercises, and related reporting.
• Help design, document, and execute the Company's ICFR program, managing day-to-day operation of key controls.
• Serve as key day-to-day contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.

• Fully remote role with quarterly travel for company offsites; must be a U.S. person able to meet DOE Export Control requirements.
