Job summary

Spectrum seeks a Field Services Manager to lead technical operations, guide fulfillment teams, oversee installations, service and maintenance, and drive operational excellence across departments.

You will ensure optimal network performance, staff development, and strategic improvements that enhance customer satisfaction. This role blends office leadership with field responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years technical supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field or equivalent.
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical operations to maintain network integrity and deliver quality services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams on standards and development.
  • Oversee purchasing, budgeting, and deployment of new products and capital projects.
  • Deliver quality assurance direction on technologies and FCC compliance.
  • Monitor material management, inventory, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and report activity to field operations management.
  • Develop frontline leadership teams and drive performance improvements.

  • Manage technical operations tomaintainnetwork integrity and assure delivery of quality voice,videoand data services to customers
  • Providetechnical guidance and support toyour teamson technologies, operationalstandardsand staff development
  • Overseepurchasing, budgeting, business plan development and deployment of new products and capital projects
  • Deliver quality assurance direction on new and existing technologies, ensuring compliance with FCC standards and resolving escalated customer issues
  • Monitor and review material management, inventory control, safetytrainingand security procedures for adherence to company policies
  • Maintainaccuraterecords and documentation, reportingactivityand results to field operations management
  • Develop and support frontline leadership teams, driving performance improvement and positive employee relations
Working Conditions
  • Work in an office and field environments
  • Operate outdoors in all weather conditionsat heightsand at various times of day or night
  • Work indoors in confined spaces and poorly ventilated areas during extreme temperatures

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelors degree in electronics,relatedfieldor equivalent
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E
Experience
  • 5+ years technical supervisory experience or equivalent work experience
Skills
  • Ability to splice coaxial cable
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP stack and abstraction layers
  • Advanced knowledge of network designs,architecturesand topologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services, technical proofs of performance, construction practices, headendoperationsand installation/service requirements
  • Knowledge of capital and operating budget processes
  • Use handheld communication devices, test equipment, and basic software applications including Microsoft Office
  • Handle multiple projects and tasks whilemaintainingconfidentiality
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills
  • Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment within maximum limitations
  • Accurately measure distances using tapes or measuring devices
  • Differentiate between wire sizes and colors and work with smallcomponents
  • Operate bucket trucks, test equipment andappropriate computersor devices for position

  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record per company standards

The base pay for this position generally is between $80,300.00 and $142,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
