Requirements include a Master of Social Work (LMSW/LCSW) and 2–4 years in human services, with foster care/adoption experience preferred. The position is full-time and in-person with a salary range of $70,000—$75,000.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical services and monitoring across multiple modalities for adoptive families.
• Participate in team consultation and clinical supervision as part of the clinical team.
• Complete progress notes and documentation per organizational protocols.
• Facilitate community programming with outreach, onboarding, events, and feedback.
• Provide administrative support for Community Programming with the Associate Director.
• Support logistics and setup for community events.
• Assist in planning a yearly calendar of adoption community events.
• Maintain client and event files (electronic and physical).
• Represent SPENCE-CHAPIN at conferences and events; build partner networks.
• Provide additional counseling support as needed to sustain services.

Primary Purpose

The Manager, Family & Community Support, plays a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality clinical and consultative services to adoptive families and individuals within the adoption constellation. This role manages a diverse client caseload and provides therapeutic interventions and consultation services tailored to the unique needs of adoptive families. The Manager supports adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents, responds to clinical inquiries, provides support to community events, and offers guidance, resources, and emotional assistance to individuals connected to adoption and the foster care system. This is a full‑time, in‑person position with an annual salary range of $70,000–$75,000.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing clinical services and monitoring across multiple modalities to individuals and families within the adoption constellation, including private and foster care adoption.
• Participate in team consultation and clinical supervision as a member of the clinical team.
• Complete progress notes and other written documentation in accordance with organization protocol and contractual agreements.
• Facilitate community programming by collaborating with the Associate Director on outreach, onboarding, hosting activities, and gathering feedback.
• Complete administrative roles associated with Community Programming in partnership with the Associate Director.
• Provide logistical and setup support for community events.
• Assist the Associate Director in planning a yearly calendar of adoption community events.
• Maintain electronic and physical files for clients and program events.
• Represent Spence‑Chapin at conferences, community events, and with partners.
• Outreach and relationship building to expand the network of partner organizations.
• Provide additional assistance within and outside counseling areas as requested, to ensure ongoing success of counseling services.

Education & Experience

• License: Master of Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) or comparable degree in a related field – required.
• 2–4 years of experience in the human/social services field; foster care or adoption experience strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• MS Office – proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with database platforms.
