Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children seeks a full‑time Manager, Family & Community Support to deliver clinical and consultative services for adoptive families and individuals. You will oversee a diverse caseload, provide therapeutic interventions, respond to inquiries, and support community events, with a salary range of $70,000–$75,000.

The role requires LMSW/LCSW or equivalent, 2–4 years in human services, and proficiency in MS Office and database platforms.

• 2–4 years of experience in human/social services; foster care or adoption experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing clinical services to individuals and families within adoption and foster care.
• Participate in team clinical supervision.
• Complete progress notes and documentation per protocol.
• Facilitate community programming with the Associate Director and coordinate events.
• Manage administrative duties for community programming and events.
• Support planning of yearly adoption community events calendar.
• Maintain electronic and physical client and program files.
• Represent Spence-Chapin at conferences and community events and with partners.
• Conduct outreach to expand partner networks and relationships.
• Provide additional support across counseling areas as needed.

Job description

Primary Purpose: The Manager, Family & Community Support plays a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality clinical and consultative services to adoptive families and individuals within the adoption constellation. This role is responsible for managing a diverse client caseload and providing therapeutic interventions and consultation services tailored to the unique needs of adoptive families. The Manager plays an integral role in supporting the adoption services to adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents. Additionally, this position will respond to clinical inquiries from prospective clients, provide support to community events, and offer guidance, resources, and emotional assistance to individuals connected to adoption and the foster care system. This is a full‑time, in‑person position with an annual salary range of $70,000–$75,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing clinical services and monitor across multiple modalities to individuals and families within the adoption constellation, both private and foster care adoption.
• Participate in team consultation and clinical supervision as part of the clinical team.
• Complete progress notes and other written documentation in accordance with organization protocol and contractual agreements.
• Facilitate community programming in collaboration with the Associate Director on outreach, onboarding, hosting activities, and gathering feedback.
• Complete administrative roles associated with community programming along with the Associate Director.
• Provide logistical and setup support for community events.
• Assist the Associate Director with planning a yearly calendar of events for the adoption community.
• Ensure electronic and physical files are maintained for clients and program events.
• Represent Spence‑Chapin at conferences, community events, and with partners.
• Conduct outreach and relationship building to expand the network of partner organizations.
• Provide additional assistance within and outside of counseling areas, as requested and/or as appropriate, to ensure the ongoing success of counseling services at the organization.
• Perform any other departmental or agency‑related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.

Education & Experience

• License Master of Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) or comparable degree in a related field required.
• 2–4 years of experience in the human/social services field; foster care or adoption experience strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with database platforms.
