Job summary

Atrium Health is hiring a Facilities Operations Manager for the Plant Operations at 11918 Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 7:30am–4:30pm schedule and 24/7 availability as needed.

Responsibilities include staffing, maintenance program leadership, budgeting, CMMS and energy reporting, regulatory compliance, and coordinating cross-functional services to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Trades Certificate with 3 years of progressive leadership experience or 5 years progressive leadership experience.
  • Associate degree or BS/BA degree preferred.
  • 7+ years progressive leadership experience in healthcare facilities or 7 years facilities/property maintenance.
  • Trades license and/or CHFM preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

  • Establish staffing complement and staff readiness for 24/7/365 operations.
  • Recommend, improve, evaluate, maintain and administer maintenance and asset programs.
  • Understand and utilize budget reports, CMMS dashboards, energy usage reporting.
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance; schedule and maintain inspections and drills.
  • Analyze root causes of building system failures; develop and implement solutions.
  • Support development of departmental and enterprise goals and productivity standards.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental services; communicate with administration, staff and patients.
  • Assist in implementing large-scale projects across assigned facilities.
  • Maintain standardized record keeping and audit programs per FMG policies.

Pay Range

$37.75 - $56.65


Major Responsibilities


  • Establish staffing complement and staff readiness appropriate to support a facility 24/7/365.

  • Recommend, improve, evaluate, maintain, and administer maintenance and asset programs in support of the departmental and organizational mission and goals.

  • Understand and utilize all management tools including budget reports, CMMS dashboards, and energy usage and efficiency reporting.

  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance codes. Schedule and maintain records of all required inspection, testing, maintenance, and drills.

  • Evaluate and analyze root cause of building system failures. Develop recommendations and implement solutions to avoid future failures and disruptions.

  • Assist in the development of business unit and enterprise goals, staffing, incident prevention and productivity standards and develop departmental goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services. Maintain excellent communications with Administration, Director, staff, patients and families.

  • Support coordination and implementation of larger scale projects throughout the facility(ies) assigned.

  • Coordinate the implementation of standardized record keeping and reporting for assigned department as specified by FMG policies and procedures. Manage an effective audit program to ensure timely compliance.

  • Conduct routine team/staff meetings for teammate training and timely distribution of information related to the department and organization.

  • Interface with site administration on monthly budget performance, productivity, and labor expenses.


Minimum Job Requirements

Education


  • High School Diploma or GED.


Certification / Registration / License


  • Valid Driver’s License.


Experience


  • Trades Certificate with 3 years of progressive leadership experience or 5 years progressive leadership experience.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


  • Leadership in a facility operations/maintenance environment.

  • Competency in the use of computers and technology, including Microsoft Office 365.

Working Independently

Working independently, responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, organization and direction of the Facilities/ Operations and Maintenance functions for the assigned site(s). Maintains facility readiness from a regulatory compliance, life safety, and equipment reliability perspective. Collaborate with site administration(s), emergency management and Project Design and Construction, vendors, and contractors to ensure that the facility remains safe, reliable and efficient. Responsible for site labor, supplies, and energy budgets. The Manager will coordinate resources in a manner that supports the Advocate Health mission and recommends and implements efficient solutions. Manages the implementation and administration of standards, audit methodologies, and staff training necessary to meet or exceed all regulatory compliance requirements as established by the Administration. Oversee safety compliance and installation of capital projects as assigned throughout assigned departments. Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.
