Under direction of the General Manager, Watertown Plant Operations and the Sr. Manager, Facilities, the Manager, Facilities CT is responsible for facilities/maintenance staff and vendors, facilities, grounds, equipment, and machinery. Responsibility includes directing the maintenance of all building systems for fire/life safety, security, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and waste management. The Manager, Facilities CT works closely with Carson City Maintenance, EH&S, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to create, communicate, and implement the vision and strategies that improve capabilities for the future state of Click Bonds operations. The Manager, Facilities CT is responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks with his team and in collaboration with multi-functional teams in support of the Click Bond mission and vison to grow and expand the possible.

Under direction of the General Manager, Watertown Plant Operations and the Sr. Manager, Facilities, the Manager, Facilities CT is responsible for facilities/maintenance staff and vendors, facilities, grounds, equipment, and machinery. Responsibility includes directing the maintenance of all building systems for fire/life safety, security, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and waste management. The Manager, Facilities CT works closely with Carson City Maintenance, EH&S, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to create, communicate, and implement the vision and strategies that improve capabilities for the future state of Click Bonds operations. The Manager, Facilities CT is responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks with his team and in collaboration with multi-functional teams in support of the Click Bond mission and vison to grow and expand the possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and develops facility team members towards best practices and Click Bond values.
- Works closely with Carson City Maintenance, Environmental Health & Safety, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to create, communicate, and implement the vision and strategies that improve capabilities for the future state of Click Bond’s operations.
- Responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks with team and builds a team environment supporting engagement and the Click Bond Way behaviors.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
- Develops, implements, and maintains facility management programs including OEE, TPM and PM.
- Leads the development and implementation of energy efficiency programs.
- Directs facilities team in conducting and documenting regular facilities inspections.
- Supervises maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and machinery.
- Ensures efficient utilization of facility maintenance team.
- Generates and presents regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases.
- Prepares and tracks facility budget and monitors expenses and payments.
- Proposes and manages capital expenditure projects.
- Develops and implements cost reduction initiatives.
- Obtains quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiates contracts to optimize delivery and cost savings.
- Oversees facility refurbishment and renovations.
- Manages and checks work by contractors and vendors.
- Manages facility central services team such as cleaning and waste disposal.
- Manages contractor and vendor relationships.
- Manages and reviews service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met.
- Develops and reports on team KPIs.
- Implements best practice processes to increase efficiency.
- Develops, implements, and maintains Lean into the Maintenance team environment.
- Directs the team to maintain and support the 6S program.
- Encourages the team to promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
- Provides prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants.
- Is a self-starter and detail oriented.
- Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to the manager.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management.
- Working knowledge of OEE, PM & TPM.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of procurement and contracts.
- Experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation.
- Supervisory experience.
- Solid computer and systems knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- OSHA 30 training preferred.
- Ability to write and read English.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or equivalent working experience
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance/facilities/manufacturing experience with at least 2 in supervision.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a supervisory position.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Provide leadership to develop and guide management team.
- Manage department budget.
- Create, communicate, and oversee department objectives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Moderate physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of medium weight materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Use of hand/fingers regularly through shift to manipulate components, tools, etc.
- Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift, bend, and reach.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- The use of Safety Glasses as required.
- Work in and around moving machinery – required not to wear any loose/dangling articles of clothing or jewelry which could get entangled in machines.
- Other equipment as needed by specific machines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work performed in a shop environment.
- Common industrial chemical and fume exposure will occur.
- Hot and cold work conditions exist, and adequate PPE is required.
- Assignments to perform work outdoors and indoors can be expected.
- Exposure to electrical current and potential shock, natural and compressed gases, moving parts and equipment.
