Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a Facilities professional to lead operations at our Jacksonville, FL facility. You will oversee daily building functions, energy management, and maintenance programs to ensure safe, reliable service.

You will manage budgets, supervise staff and contractors, and coordinate remodeling projects while ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six years of experience in facilities management, physical plant operations, or building maintenance for a large facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes departmental policies, operational plans, and capacity strategies while managing capital, operating, and construction budgets.
• Oversees daily building operations, utility and energy management, grounds maintenance, and furniture/equipment inventories to ensure safe, efficient plant functioning.
• Acts as the primary liaison for remodeling and construction, managing the entire vendor lifecycle from bids and contract compliance to project execution and system shutdowns.
• Establishes a safe work environment through audits and training, ensuring strict documentation and compliance with local, State, Federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
• Leads and mentors staff and contract labor, overseeing scheduling, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and operational excellence.
• Serves as an organizational change agent to drive process efficiencies while maintaining strong communications with internal leadership, external partners, and regulatory agencies.
