Job summary

Textron is seeking a Manager External Quality to lead quality engineering in a matrix environment, coaching staff and directing improvements in supplier quality. You will develop processes that ensure 100% conformance and drive cost-of-quality reductions.

Working with internal groups, you will oversee incoming quality, supplier surveillance, corrective actions, and compliance with FAA, ISO and AS9000 systems to sustain world-class quality performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a technical discipline with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and AS9000.
• Experience in high-tolerance manufacturing and QA.
• Knowledge of FAA FAR regs, PMA process, and TC's.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality program and develop control systems.
• Ensure purchased products meet Lycoming quality standards.
• Coordinate FAA, ISO, AS9000 QMS, and supplier surveillance.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost of quality reduction.
• Investigate warranty/SIR issues and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate meetings for improvements.
