What You’ll Work On

The Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS&S programs. The position ensures full compliance with corporate policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a safe work environment and minimizing risk to employees, property, and the surrounding community.

• Lead and manage plant-wide Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) programs in alignment with corporate, divisional, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Corporate, Federal, State, and local EHS laws and regulations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and maintain strong, cooperative relationships.
• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to management and staff on EHS&S matters.
• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees and safeguard the surrounding community and environment.
• Develop and deliver high-quality EHS&S training programs for employees at all levels.
• Conduct audits of EHS&S programs, identify improvement areas, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Evaluate new equipment, materials, chemicals, processes, and procedures for EHS&S compliance.
• Oversee and coordinate emergency response activities for the site.
• Manage EHS&S and security budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Supervise and support a team of 11 employees.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (with preference for Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety, or related field).
• 5–7 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles.
• Strong knowledge of applicable EHS regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing EHS programs and ensuring plant-wide compliance.
• Ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies, corporate leadership, and employees at all levels.
• Experience managing budgets related to EHS and security functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Michigan Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing safety culture.
• Experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health, and facility security programs.
• Strong background in safety training development and delivery.

Salary

The base pay for this position is $113,300.00 – $226,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
