Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management, preferably in financial services.

  • Understanding of risk appetite, tolerances, and impact on risk profiles.

Job description

Position Summary

The ERM Manager plays a key role in the execution and enhancement of the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, with a focus on risk appetite, risk assessments, key risk indicators, control testing, and issue management. The role partners across the organization to identify, assess, monitor, and manage risk while promoting clear risk ownership and accountability. The successful candidate will leverage practical risk management experience and expertise to strengthen ERM frameworks, enhance risk management practices, and support the ongoing maturity of the Company’s risk management program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Play an integral role in the ongoing design, development, implementation, and execution of the Company’s risk management frameworks to effectively identify, assess, monitor, and manage enterprise-wide risks.
  • Support the continued evolution of the Company’s risk appetite statements, tolerances, and supporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement enhanced RCSA, issue management, and risk reporting workflows as part of broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) enhancement efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze risks across the Company’s business units and support reporting to internal and external risk committees, supervisors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance risk management policies, procedures, standards, and other supporting documentation.
  • Effectively multi-task across tactical and strategic deliverables in an organized manner.
  • Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Learn new technologies and identify process improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in risk management, business administration, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related area 5+ years’ experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management areas, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with excellent organizational capabilities and a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability and eagerness to develop a high-level understanding of existing and emerging technologies and their associated risks.
  • Strong understanding of management objectives, risk appetite and tolerances, and the impact of changes on organizational risk profiles.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while demonstrating collaboration, sound judgment, resourcefulness, innovation, and a results-oriented approach.
Qualifications Desired
  • Experience in Operational or Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Experience in Payments and/or banking related fields, including Payments or Banking Technology.
  • Understanding of the financial regulatory environment for the banking industry and payment systems space.
  • Experience with system implementation(s) or system migrations.
  • Experience with Issues Management processes.
  • Experience with Agile, Operational Excellence certification RSA Archer or other GRC experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Employees in this position will report to the office 3 days per week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time. Occasional travel may be required.
