Job summary

MBTA is seeking a Manager of Energy Programs, Conservation (Efficiency & Decarbonization) to identify and implement energy projects with the Energy and Environment Department. You will help reduce energy cost, consumption, and emissions through efficiency and decarbonization measures, meeting legal obligations for emissions, and leading a team of coordinators.

The role requires overseeing procurement, budgeting, and coordination with utilities, with focus on projects such as LED upgrades, HVAC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional energy or environmental experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of general experience.
• Certifications in energy or related fields may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Reduce energy consumption, cost, and emissions through efficiency and decarbonization projects.
• Manage energy projects including procurement, design, budgeting and closeout.
• Plan and implement projects to meet Executive Order 594 targets.
• Oversee energy coordinators and coordinate with utility program representatives.
• Capture and maximize utility incentives for energy projects.
• Develop funding via Capital Investment Plan and grant applications.
• Upload data for tracking in the MBTA's Enterprise Energy Management System.
• Track and report KPIs for the energy and decarbonization program.
