Job summary

Massachusetts Clean Energy is seeking a Manager of Energy Programs, Conservation (Sustainability and Resiliency Design) to assist MBTA in delivering sustainable, fossil-fuel-free, climate-resilient capital projects.

In this role you will coordinate with the Energy and Environment Department and Capital Delivery, develop design directives, track resilience metrics, and oversee consultants to ensure LEED or ENVISION certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in energy or environmental engineering or related field.
• Five years professional experience in energy-related projects including sustainable and resilient design.
• At least one year of supervisory or lead experience.
• Familiarity with energy markets and infrastructure costs.

Responsibilities

• Support Capital Program managers to integrate climate resilience into design and risks.
• Maintain SME knowledge on climate resilience for transit systems.
• Attend project development meetings for MBTA projects and third-party TODs.
• Review designs from a climate resilience perspective and provide feedback.
• Coordinate sustainability and resiliency across capital projects.
