Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers onsite in Kohler, WI.

You will drive hardware architecture, coordinate cross‑functional updates, and guide product development from concept to production, while mentoring engineers and improving processes. You will report to the Director of Engineering- Electronics and Smart Technology, and contribute to the growth and evolution of the electronics group with hands‑on leadership and a clear focus on quality,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering is required.
  • 10 years of electronics development in a concurrent engineering environment.
  • 3+ years leading a team of electronics engineers.
  • Expertise in circuit design, schematic entry, and PCB layout tools.
  • Experience with MCUs, peripherals, features, and development environment; DFMEAs and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi technologies is desired.
  • Able to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.

Job description

Manager - Electronics Engineering

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite 4 – Kohler, WI

Opportunity

As the Electronics Engineering Manager, you will play a significant part in the development of products by engaging in a very collaborative, rapidly changing environment to integrate new technologies into Kohler products and solutions. You will contribute at every stage of the K&B product development cycle, from concept to production, driving both individual product features and overall system validation activities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must, as you will be asked to partner with team members and other engineering teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the technology and product development for many of Kohler’s consumer products.

You will be responsible for leadership of a team of electronic engineers within the electronics engineering group. This is a hands‑on position; you will also be responsible for designing and implementing electronic subsystems for new products. Reporting to the Director of Engineering- Electronics and Smart Technology, the successful candidate will guide efficient engineering development and grow our talent for the long‑term evolution of the group. You must possess a level of expertise that will facilitate both electronics product development, as well as coaching, continuous learning, and career development of team members.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive the current and future of hardware architecture
  • Outline requirements & document feature specs
  • Coordinate with your engineering team and the program management team technical updates
  • Make strategic technical product decisions that positively affect the engineering team’s ability to deliver embedded technologies
  • Provide team members career‑development opportunities and maintain an ongoing constructive feedback loop with them
  • Inspire innovation and technical growth in your associates through hands‑on mentoring and encouragement
  • Manage the team to deliver product solutions that are on time and on budget
  • Coach the team as they progress through their careers and conduct performance reviews
  • Participate in all phases of product development (requirements, analysis, architecture, development, testing, debugging, and delivery)
  • Collaborate with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and other engineers to build best‑in‑class products
  • Own the electronics design process and continually enhance the process to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Manage contract development resources as needed
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering is required. Direct experience with the design of electronic circuits and modules is required.
  • Must have 10 years of electronics (digital and analog) development in a concurrent engineering environment where quality, innovation, and time-to-market are priorities
  • 3+ years leading a team of electronics engineers
  • Expertise and proficiency in circuit design, schematic entry and PCB layout tools
  • Expertise in DFM
  • Experience with MCUs, peripherals, features, and development environment
  • Experience with DevOps tools, DFMEAs, and simulation tools
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi Technologies is desired
  • Able to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
