Job summary

Kohler Co. is hiring an Electronics Engineering Technician IV for an onsite role in Kohler, WI. You will partner with electronics and product engineering teams to develop, test, and evaluate next-generation kitchen and bath products.

You will provide electro-mechanical design guidance, fabricate prototypes, assemble and rework circuits, and test various subassemblies while ensuring regulatory compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree (or higher) in electronics or mechatronics related field.
• 8+ years of related experience in electro-mechanical design, prototyping and testing.
• Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select and integrate electro-mechanical components into products and guide engineers.
• Build and test prototype circuits, subassemblies, and wire harnesses.
• Perform hands-on measurements and data analysis for new designs.
• Lead electronics qualification and verification testing, including regulatory compliance.
• Support regulatory and code compliance to UL, CSA, FCC, CE standards.

Electronics Engineering Technician IV

Work Mode:Onsite

Location:Onsite –Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Partner with electronics andproduct engineering teams in the development, testing, and evaluation ofnext-generation kitchen and bath products.

As a Electronics Engineering Technician IV, you will be responsible for providing electro-mechanical designguidance, fabricating prototypes, assembling and reworking circuits, and testing a variety of subassemblies and systems for present and future products.

Core Responsibilities

• Select and integrateelectro-mechanical components and subassemblies into kitchen and bath productsand provide guidance and support to other engineers in this area.
• Build and test prototype circuits,subassemblies, and wire harnesses.
• Perform hands-on measurements anddata analysis for new and existing electronic designs.
• Lead implementation and executionof electronics qualification and verification testing, including regulatorycompliance.
• Support the business in regulatoryand code compliance to UL, CSA, FCC, CE, etc. standards and requirements.
• Document design and test results ina clear and concise manner.

Skills/Requirements

• Two-year associate degree (orhigher) in electronics or mechatronics related field and 8+ years of relatedexperience
• Strong hands-on experience with electro-mechanicalcomponents and assemblies, including actuators and motors, pumps, sensors andswitches, solenoids, etc.
• Deep knowledge of electricalcomponents and circuits including analog, digital, and power electronics
• Demonstrated experience reading andunderstanding schematics, circuit board layouts, and mechanical drawings
• Clear understanding of PCBconstruction and PCBA assembly methods
• Ability to assemble / modifysurface-mount and through-hole components using soldering irons and similar reworkequipment
• Demonstrated experience using avariety of electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes,function generators, and power supplies
• Good documentation, interpretation,and reporting skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness in test procedures,data, and reports
• Ability to work independently tocomplete tasks with minimal direction and mentor others in areas ofsubject-matter expertise
• Strong communication skills in bothwritten and verbal format
