The Manager of Electrical Installation & Avionics Design and Sustaining Engineering is accountable for both Design and Sustaining engineering activities related to avionics and electrical systems, for Projects executed in AWPC.
He/She is responsible for the discipline specific design engineering activities conducted under Part 21 rules, and in accordance with the Leonardo Helicopter DOA Handbook. He/She is responsible for coordination with Leonardo Helicopter engineering organizations in other geographies, to ensure appropriate configuration management and to support certification activities conducted under DOA delegation(s).
He/She is responsible for the discipline specific liaison engineering activities in support of the AWPC Part 21 Production Line.He/She is responsible to coordinate all discipline specific sustaining activities to address findings and non-conformities on the Final Assembly Line and in the Flight Line.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Manager of Electrical Installation & Avionics Design and Sustaining Engineering is responsible for coordinating with his/her Structures, Systems & Interior counterparts at AWPC.
The position requires extensive experience working in a Design Organization and knowledge of aircraft/helicopters platforms, including qualification and certification processes according to EASA/FAA Part 21 rules, as well as an understanding of Part 145 & Part 43 rules related to Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), 8110-3 supported Form 337 alterations and Repairs.
