Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Manager, eCommerce Marketing Operations to drive seamless checkout experiences across our publications. You will launch offers, develop BRDs, and collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Tech to translate requirements into customer-facing flows.

You will lead a team of offer managers, align cross-functional stakeholders, and optimize processes to achieve KPIs and scalable eCommerce operations.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in eCommerce with ability to test APIs.
  • Lead with operational rigor and define project/process workflows.
  • HTML and SQL skills required.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience.
  • Proven project management across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end eCommerce processes including website infra, content mgmt, operations, customer facing functionality.
  • Experience optimizing AWS environments for performance, security and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Launch new products, offers and ecommerce flows; create maintenance requests and BRDs.
  • Create and manage offers in the ecommerce platform and build landing pages for campaigns.
  • Coordinate with QA to manage timelines, testing goals and KPIs; develop test plans.
  • Collaborate with business units on pricing plans and implementation timelines.
  • Analyze current processes to identify KPI improvements and automate manual tasks.
  • Partner with leadership to optimize processes and embed operational excellence.

Job description

The Manager, eCommerce Marketing Operations position within the Marketing Operations group will support the creation and management of key ecommerce flows for the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, and Financial News. This role will liaise directly with our Marketing, Product and Tech teams to ensure a seamless checkout experience for our flagship publications.

You Will:

  • Successfully launch new products, offers and ecommerce flows to manage the customer experience. You’ll develop maintenance requests and BRDs (business requirement documents) for new offers and processes, while working in close partnership with technology to translate into customer facing requirements.
  • You will create new offers and manage existing offers within the ecommerce platform in order to promote flagship publications, implement and build new landing pages for acquisition campaigns to ensure a seamless checkout experience, and execute new eCommerce flows to support new subscription offers and products presented in market - including digital pricing, promotions, and site assets
  • You will partner with a QA manager to manage the timelines, user acceptance testing, goals for testing, align on measurable KPIs, and create test plans
  • You will partner with cross-functional business units for new pricing plans and testing requests, including a streamlined intake process and project management of implementation from beginning to end
  • You will analyze existing processes for improvement, identify opportunities to drive KPIs, and automate manual processes
  • You will partner with your manager to create and optimize processes and timelines, embedding operational excellence into all workflows
  • You will manage a team of offer managers to provide mentorship, optimize processes, create a gold standard of operational excellence, and manage knowledge transfer

You Have:

  • 7+ years experience in eCommerce with an ability to test APIs
  • Ability to lead with operational rigor, set standards for operational excellence with clearly defined project and process workflows
  • HTML and SQL skills required
  • Strong Leadership skills and experience with people management
  • Possess strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end eCommerce processes including: website infrastructure, content management, operations, and customer facing functionality
  • Experience optimizing AWS environments for performance, security and cost efficiency
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and influencing team members, building and maintaining effective working relationships across business units within an organization to enable success
  • Proficiency with Google suite applications
  • Knowledge of the media and publishing industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of the subscription business preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree - marketing preferred, or equivalent experience

Base Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000
