Job summary

Mediacom Communications seeks a results-driven Manager, Direct Sales to lead a team of Direct Sales Supervisors and Representatives in achieving regional sales targets. This role requires directing performance, defining goals, and ensuring execution of sales strategies.

You will manage hiring, coaching, and development to build a high-performing sales force, with travel as needed to cover markets and drive customer acquisition. This is an onsite leadership position within our Des Moines region.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sales/Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years previous supervisory or leadership experience motivating others to reach specific sales goals.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel).
• Ability to travel with limited overnight stays with a flexible work schedule.
• Proven ability to achieve sales goals.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level organizational skills.

• Develop a successful sales team.
• Hire, develop, motivate, monitor, direct and evaluate Sales Representatives and Sales Supervisors to meet acquisition objectives.

• Conduct sales performance reviews and take action to ensure sales objectives are met.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly departmental and individual sales goals are met.
• Duties may require evenings and weekend hours.

Position Overview:

Responsible for the attainment of the sales goals and for all products in assigned region. Manage activities of Direct Sales Supervisors and Direct Sales Representatives.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing a successful sales team.
• Responsible for hiring, developing, motivating, monitoring, directing and evaluating Sales Representatives and Sales Supervisors to meet specific acquisition objectives.
• Assist in the development of Sales goals and budgets.
• Conduct sales performance reviews and take appropriate actions to ensure sales objectives are met.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly departmental and individual sales goals are met.
• Demonstrate and ensure compliance with all sales training programs.
• New customer acquisition to increase penetration of Mediacom services in residential neighborhoods.
• Optimize market coverage.
• Set timelines and schedules to meet objectives.
• Analyze sales and subscriber reports to evaluate local tactics, personnel and trends.
• Keep management informed of all sales initiatives. Prepare reports and meet periodically to review results.
• Duties may require evenings and weekend hours.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned or required.
• Travel as required.
