Digital Engineering Manager 2 – Woodland Hills, CA
This fully onsite position located in Woodland Hills, CA works a 9/80 schedule. The role is 80/20: 80% of the time is spent on program activities and 20% on staff management and development.

Responsibilities
- Manage/oversee the engineering design, development, verification, and transition to production of digital devices such as FPGA, SoC, and ASIC.
- Develop and implement strong processes with emphasis on quantitative management and continuous improvement.
- Provide management guidance to achieve outstanding cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight in developing technical and cost proposals.
- Interface with business-focused discipline leads to coordinate staffing requirements and ensure proper skill mix to support program activities.
- Mentor and challenge team members to develop skills and provide career planning/development paths.
- Conduct performance and salary reviews, approve timecards, manage performance, and work closely with HR on elevated employee matters.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading a team on a technical development effort or technical production support.
- Understanding of engineering processes and tools used in digital design and verification.
- Experience with FPGA, SoC, or ASIC.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and processes used for hardware designs.
- Experience with generating and/or reviewing cost estimates/basis of estimates (BOEs).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees of all levels.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance within a timeframe set by management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a technical field.
- Current/Active SECRET clearance.
- Experience with FPGA, SoC, and ASIC.
- Experience with V&V technologies (System Verilog, UVM, Hardware-In-Loop).
- Knowledge of Computer Architecture (Bus standards, Interrupts, Memory).
- Experience with Model-based Engineering (MATLAB, Simulink, Fixed Point vs. Floating Point).
- Experience with Sensors and Digital Signal Processing.
- Experience with safety critical designs (DO-254).
- Experience in the development and implementation of processes to ensure product development efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven track record of leading a team of engineers and establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program Offices.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Siemens Teamcenter Enterprise or Teamcenter Unified Architecture (UA) or Tc AW – Active Workspace.
- Experience with failure analysis techniques and methods (RCCAs).
- Technical project management with budget/EVMS experience.
- Experience with technical proposals.
- Knowledge of engineering planning, scheduling, metrics, earned value systems, and workload forecasting.
Compensation & Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00 (salary is influenced by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions). Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long-term incentives for executive positions. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
