Job Description

Position Overview

As a Manager, Development (Permitting) you will be responsible for leading development, permitting, and regulatory compliance tasks for utility-scale energy projects including wind, solar, storage, natural gas, and transmission.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review, and organize permit requirementsin accordance withlocal, state, and federal laws. Evaluate project risks and executestrategyto obtain primary development permits.

• Draft, review, and organize high-quality and resilient permit applications and supporting documentation including agency data request responses, testimony, briefs, and regulatory compliance filings.

• Coordinate internal and external technical support from development, legal, engineering, environmental, and construction teams.

• Manage schedules andmaintaincompliance with regulatory requirements.

• Interface with government agencies toestablishpositive relationships and effectively communicate projectobjectives, details, and benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• 7+ years of work experience in energy industry or relevant experience.

• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Juris Doctor, Master of Science, or similar graduate-level degree.Experience with permitting, project management, and technical/legal writing.

• Ability to quickly develop multidisciplinary expertise and act decisively in a fast-paced business environment with competing deadlines.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Must be self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability and desire to effectively lead.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and GIS applications.

Base Pay

$120,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
